“You wouldn’t expect a second-year defensive tackle like Jonathan Bullard would be hanging out with a 33-year-old tight end but the youngster spoke fondly of Miller. I asked him if he could describe what it’s like to be on the field and have a teammate go down like that. “I heard the reaction of the crowd at the time,” said Bullard. “Then I looked up. I kind of didn’t want to look at it, but it’s one of those things you wanna take a peek at. And I’ve seen it on the replay. “Man, it’s just one of those situations where there’s not much you can do but drop down on your knee and send him a prayer up for him and his family that’s watching at home, or if they were at the game in the situation. That’s all I could do — drop down and send a prayer up for him.””
