“Through Week 7 of the 2017 NFL season we don’t really have a “dominant” team, but clearly the best one right now is the Philadelphia Eagles. They are off to a 6-1 start and have a full two-game lead in the NFC East. With their next two games, and three out of their next four at home, the Eagles could well be on their way to locking up a playoff spot before we hit December. Why are the Eagles so good? Let’s start with quarterback Carson Wentz, who is having a MVP-type season. Through Monday night’s game, Wentz has thrown 17 touchdown passes and only four interceptions and has a 104 quarterback rating. He has also shown that he is both tough and durable, as he has taken a number of big hits this season and bounces right back.”
